She made one CD Beethoven On Speed that worth a buck or two on the EBAY markets but never really had much interest of hearing her. Glad your digging our radio Crabbland playlist ;)R S Crabbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11763473179086750283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866391505956532442.post-91395492250077228902013-07-27T13:32:55.020-07:002013-07-27T13:32:55.020-07:00Hey, apparently The Amazing Kat is some kinda spee...Hey, apparently The Amazing Kat is some kinda speedy-heavy-metal-classical-comedy guitarist. Might try her out if her albums weren't so expensive. But who woulda thunk? Thanks for continuing to dig up The Overlooked....
TADhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13853931230081777310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866391505956532442.post-4720724714088231002013-07-25T16:25:55.946-07:002013-07-25T16:25:55.946-07:00Glad to help out ;)Glad to help out ;)R S Crabbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11763473179086750283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866391505956532442.post-43130505971293494572013-07-25T13:52:01.099-07:002013-07-25T13:52:01.099-07:00Hey, I actually got a blog post out of the Kacey M...Hey, I actually got a blog post out of the Kacey Musgraves/trailer-park thing.... Thanks for the inspiration....
TADhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13853931230081777310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866391505956532442.post-89234332998354638972013-07-24T14:03:23.442-07:002013-07-24T14:03:23.442-07:00The majority of this top ten came from songs that ...The majority of this top ten came from songs that were played on country radio back in the 70s KOEL was the best of the bunch.

Garth Brooks I have a love/hate affair with; mostly the latter with his marketing ploys that made him sell tons of CD but also seeing a lot of them in the dollar bins nowadays. I do have the first Black Hawk album and that song you mentioned is on that as well as Goodbye Says It All and Every Once In A While. Henry Paul and the other dude (Kent Robbins, the token chin haired dude that's popular for country music nowadays) are now part of the reunified Outlaws.

Kacey Musgraves, up and coming songwriter (Miranda Lambert scored another hit with Momma's Broken Heart written by Kacey) has been given plenty of praise of her latest album. Take away the manufactured banjo and she'd an Americana act. Cheers!R S Crabbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11763473179086750283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866391505956532442.post-1790259523126784662013-07-24T11:46:26.787-07:002013-07-24T11:46:26.787-07:00Well, it was all worth waiting for. "Rocky Top" & "Third Rate Romance" are classics, didn't know most of the others, but I learned a lot.
I wouldn't have minded seeing something like BlackHawk's "I Sure Can Smell the Rain," but that's not what you or I'd call overlooked.
I thought Garth Brooks had a couple really good songs (my picks are "Ireland" and "Belleau Wood," & "The Red Strokes" REALLY sounded like Dan Fogelberg), but most of his hits sucked.
Kasey Musgraves looks nice -- wouldn't mind her living in the trailer next door, but I haven't heard anything by her.
& why not more women? (Though I'm not complainin'....)
Thanks for doing your part to further my liberal-big-city-kid education....
TADhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13853931230081777310noreply@blogger.com
